Over the course of 36 seasons and counting, how many restaurants has Fieri visited on Triple D?
At the time of writing, the Mayor of Flavortown has featured over 1,325 restaurants in more than 425 cities across the country! There’s no sign that he’s slowing down, either.
Let’s break down some of the types of restaurants Fieri has visited, from familiar favorites to obscure bites.
Pizza Restaurants on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives
It’s no surprise to learn that Fieri has visited over 100 pizza joints on Triple D – a slice of this delicious pie is a perfect vehicle for flavor and creativity.
Take, for example, In Bocca Al Lupo in Juneau, Alaska. You may not expect authentic Italian cuisine in Alaska’s capital, but this real-deal Italian spot serves up scratch-made meals including wood-fired pizzas.
Of course, out of over 100 pizzas, some of them were downright nontraditional.
At Junkyard Extreme Burgers and Brats in Oregon, Guy munched on a fried cheese pizza – and that’s not a pizza topped with fried cheese, it’s a pizza with fried cheese in place of the crust.
Talk about extreme!
Burger Restaurants on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives
When you sit down at a diner, what’s your must-have greasy spoon meal?
For me, it has to be a classic hamburger. Guy must agree because he’s driven his signature Camaro to over 130 burger joints during the course of the show.
The burgers that have made an appearance on the show range from basic to wild.
The more out-of-the-box patties we’ve seen include the Mac Attack burger at Boston Burger Company which, as the name suggests, is topped with a thick slab of house-made mac n cheese, and the alligator burger at Crazee Burger in San Diego.
Burgers may be classic diner fare, but they’re anything but boring when you’re road-tripping with Guy Fieri!
Barbeque Restaurants on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives
From one part of the country to another, barbeque preparations are totally different. You’ve got Kansas City barbeque, Texas barbeque, Carolina barbeque… you get the picture!
Luckily, we have Guy to take us on a tour of all things smoked, grilled, and pit-roasted.
Our favorite chef has guided Triple D Nation through over 140 barbeque restaurants – it’s safe to say this is a favorite food category for Guy!
If I’ve learned anything from my years living in the south (and my years watching Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives, of course!), it’s that the best barbeque often comes from the most unassuming locations.
That’s certainly the case at The Joint in New Orleans, Louisiana.
At this Big Easy rib shack, everything from the meat to even the salad dressing comes from the smoker!
Guy enjoyed it so much that he’s visited The Joint twice on the show – once in season three, and then back for seconds in season 24.
Of course, barbeque isn’t just for the South, and Fieri has hit up smoke shacks from sea to shining sea, including HoBo’s BBQ in his home state of California. This restaurant served up barbeque with a twist in the form of BBQ lasagna – now that we have to try!
International Eats on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives
If you’re imagining classic American fare when you think of the Food Network’s hit show, you’re right – but only part of the time.
While he’s chowed down on his fair share of soul food, sandwiches, and fries, Guy is known for his adventurous palate and his penchant for big flavors, which he often finds in international cuisine.
Asian Restaurants on Triple D
Guy has made his love of Asian food well known – this flavorful cuisine is a personal favorite.
Perhaps that’s why the Mayor has visited over two dozen Korean restaurants, over 25 Thai restaurants, and plenty of Chinese, Indian, and Japanese restaurants, too.
Fieri has made plenty of flavorful discoveries over all of those visits!
Oh Mai in Holladay, Utah looks especially tempting. Guy referred to their pho as “one of the best” and guest Jimmy John Liautaud of Jimmy John’s Sandwiches referred to their Bahn Mi sandwich as “one of the best hot sandwiches I’ve had in my life.”

Mexican Restaurants on Triple D
With over 175 locations visited, Mexican restaurants are one of the most popular types of spots featured on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives.
Guy’s travels have brought us some truly amazing tacos, such as the Tacos Don Ramon from Red Iguana in Salt Lake City. These tacos are served with seven types of moles and fried tortillas dipped in chorizo juice (you read that right. Chorizo. Juice.).
Mexican cuisine isn’t all about tacos, though.
You can’t miss traditional favorites like the Beef and Red Sauce Tamale from The Tamale Pace in Indianapolis, where the chef follows tradition and makes the masa fresh daily.
And at family-owned Sabroso! in California, Guy declared the Chamorro plate to be the “pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.”
Over 1,325 Down, and No Sign of Stopping
Guy Fieri’s quest for the best bites across America is in no danger of stopping – with well over a thousand restaurants visited, he’s still finding new and delicious dishes from coast to coast.
