Doumar’s is a restaurant located in Norfolk, Virginia that is a historical icon known for being the birthplace of the world’s first ice cream cone machine. It’s a great visit to a retro time where everything is extremely affordable and you can drive up to the parking lot and have someone come up to your car and take your order. The menu is small but service is fast and the food is great considering the price. The burgers are surprisingly good for the price and the BBQ sandwich and cheese burgers are yummy. The ice cream is also delicious. The fries are a bit small and served room temperature, but for a few dollars it’s a great deal.
