Guy Fieri checks out this place for the Americano del Sur Pizza. Watch the episode above and read on to find out what makes this dish a winner.
The Star of the Show
Americano del Sur Pizza is the obvious best choice here. It’s what caught Guy’s attention and it’s clearly what the kitchen does best. If you’re stuck, most places on Triple D always have more than one great dish, so feel free to ask what’s popular.
Regulars typically know what’s good, so if you see a certain dish being served at a lot of different tables, that’s a good indication!

Home Cook’s Guide
The real recipe remains a secret, but the episode gives you a good approach to doing this yourself.
The dough: Make it in advance. Chilling it for 24-72 hours gives the dough flavor that can really only be achieved by fermentation.
The heat: Use the highest setting your oven can go. Let your stone or steel preheat for 45 minutes minimum.
The sauce: Keep it simple. Good quality tomatoes, some garlic, a bit of olive oil, and some salt. Don’t overthink it.
Is it going to be the exact same? Probably not, and that’s fine. The goal is to get in the ballpark.
