With strong roots in Texas, co-owner Chris Fultz wanted to bring Texan barbecue to Virginia. So in 2013, along with Alex Graf, he set up ZZQ Texas Craft Barbeque. It got the thumbs up from Guy Fieri when he visited during season 31 of Triple D. Enjoy everything from pulled pork shoulder to smoked seitan sandwiches to Texas sheet cake at this Richmond-based favorite.
Carena’s Jamaican Grille

If you’re looking for some authentic Jamaican cuisine in Virginia, you can’t go wrong with Carena’s Jamaican Grille. Guy Fieri visited this tasty spot back in 2019 on Triple D and it’s safe to say he was a fan. The portion sizes are great here and the prices are very reasonable – you won’t find anything above $20. You can expect to be served quickly by the team too – just another reason to swing by Carena’s when visiting Chesterfield, Virginia!

Captain Chuck-A-Muck’s

If seafood is on your mind, Captain Chuck-A-Muck’s is the spot for you. An early favorite on Triple D, Guy Fieri tasted the delights of this family-owned restaurant back in 2008. The menu features everything from steak to crab soup, to crab in butter. Prices are reasonable and the staff are very welcoming, so get your fill of your seafood cravings and head down to Captain Chuck-A-Muck’s next time you’re near Rescue, Virginia!

The fried chicken sandwich is also a must-try and the potato salad is especially delicious!
The Dirty Buffalo

Serving traditional Jewish cuisine with a modern spin, Perly’s is no doubt one of the best Triple D restaurants in Virginia to visit. Found in Richmond, this Guy Fieri-approved spot has a real vintage feel to it, with the tables and booths close together, and lines of people usually waiting to get in (always a good sign!). The food is packed with flavor and favorites include the corned beef hash and the Deli Dogs.
