4-Ingredient Gluten-Free Orange Almond Flour Cake

A soft, light, and fluffy almond flour cake with a fresh orange flavor, easy to make and perfect with coffee or tea.

Ingredients
  

  • 4 eggs separated
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 orange orange zest optional
  • 1 orange orange juice
  • 2 cups almond flour
  • 1/4 cup* sliced almonds for topping, optional
  • 1 tablespoon* powdered sugar for serving, optional

Method
 

  1. Separate the egg yolks into one bowl and the egg whites into another bowl.
  2. Add 3/4 cup of sugar to the egg yolks and mix until smooth and creamy.
  3. Add the zest of 1 orange (optional), then the juice of 1 orange, and finally 2 cups of almond flour. Mix until combined.
  4. Beat the egg whites until they are light and fluffy, then gently mix them into the almond flour mixture so the batter stays nice and airy.
  5. Pour the batter into the pan and add some sliced almonds on top.
  6. Bake at 350°F (175°C) until the cake is golden, about 25 minutes.
  7. Let it cool, then add a little powdered sugar on top.
  8. Slice, serve, and enjoy!
