Preheat a 6-quart air fryer to 380°F for 3 minutes. Pat wings very dry and toss with oil, 1 1/2 teaspoons Old Bay and black pepper.
Arrange half the wings in one layer with gaps. Air fry for 12 minutes, turn and cook for 12 to 15 minutes more until crisp and at least 165°F.
Transfer to a rack and repeat with remaining wings. Keep the cooked wings uncovered while waiting.
Toss hot wings with melted butter and remaining 1/2 teaspoon Old Bay so the final seasoning forms a thin even coating.
Rest for 3 minutes and serve as 4 appetizer portions.
