BBQ Restaurants in New Jersey
When Guy Fieri brought his iconic red Camaro to the Garden State, he uncovered a thriving BBQ scene that proves New Jersey can hold its own against any Southern smokehouse. Between 2015 and 2024, Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives featured four standout BBQ joints across the state, from the sandy shores to the suburbs, with an impressive average rating of 4.5 stars.
Leading the pack is Mutiny BBQ Company in Asbury Park, where rebellious flavors and perfectly smoked meats earned a stellar 4.7-star rating. Matching that excellence is Big Pinks BBQ in Bridgewater Township, another 4.7-star destination that has locals lining up for tender brisket and fall-off-the-bone ribs. Down at the shore, Jersey Shore BBQ in Point Pleasant Beach rounds out the top performers with a 4.6-star rating, serving up coastal-inspired ‘cue that keeps beachgoers coming back for more.
With three of these four featured restaurants still firing up their smokers today, New Jersey’s BBQ trail offers plenty of opportunities to taste what caught Guy’s attention and made it to Flavortown.
