When Guy Fieri brought the Triple D crew to Sicily’s stunning Messina province, he discovered pizza perfection along the breathtaking coastline of the Ionian Sea. From the ancient streets of Taormina to the seaside charm of Giardini Naxos, these three pizzerias earned their spot in Flavortown with an impressive average rating of 4.5 stars.

At Al Saraceno in Taormina, Guy found the highest-rated pie in the province at 4.6 stars, while Villa Zuccaro Pizzeria, also in Taormina, impressed with its 4.5-star offerings against a backdrop of Mediterranean views. Down in Giardini Naxos, Trattoria da Antonio rounded out the Triple D tour with authentic Sicilian flavors that had Guy reaching for another slice.

Though two of these legendary spots have since closed their doors, one continues serving up the wood-fired magic that caught Guy’s attention in 2025. For pizza lovers making the pilgrimage to Messina, these Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives destinations represent the best of Sicilian pizza tradition.
