Mert’s Heart & Soul is an amazing soul food restaurant located in the Uptown area of Charlotte, North Carolina. The atmosphere is relaxed and inviting, so come as you are. The food is fresh, hot, and perfectly seasoned. The chicken wings and cornbread are highly recommended, but you can’t go wrong with whatever you order. They also have delicious salmon cakes, home fries, biscuits, and cheese eggs. The red velvet cake is a must-have for dessert. Despite being understaffed during our recent visit, the server was doing her best to make sure everyone had a great experience. Highly recommend Mert’s Heart & Soul for a great soul food experience!
