Herbie’s Bar & Chowder House is a hidden gem in Marathon, Florida. The outside of the restaurant may look weathered, but the staff and food inside are outstanding. We started with a cup of the chowder, which was thick and flavorful. The baked oysters were a little gritty but very flavorful. In addition to the food, the bar has a great selection of beers and ciders. The locals at the bar were friendly and the staff was attentive and fast. Herbie’s Bar & Chowder House is a great spot to enjoy some classic Florida cuisine in a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
