Desert Oak Barbeque is an amazing spot for quality Texas-style barbeque located in El Paso. As soon as you walk in, you can feel the energy from the upbeat country music and the smiling crew. The owner even walks around giving out samples of brisket while you wait in line. The restaurant is much larger than their last place, with plenty of seating, a bar with 8 beers on tap, and an outdoor area to wander. It’s worth the wait for the delicious food. The two meat plate with brisket and pork ribs was cooked to perfection and juicy. The sides were all full of flavor, especially the sweet and slightly spicy corn. The chili was unique and had chunks of brisket, although it may not be for everyone’s taste. The baked potato meal was also a great choice. The to-go orders were also cooked to perfection. Desert Oak Barbeque is certainly a must-try spot for anyone in the El Paso area.
