Chicken Bacon Ranch Sandwich on Homemade Garlic Butter Bread

Making the Bread Dough

First, you start the bread. In a medium-sized mixing bowl, combine 2 cups of warm water, 1 teaspoon of salt, and 2 tablespoons of active dry yeast. Whisk all of it together and wait 10 minutes for the yeast to bloom.

Once the yeast is bloomed, add in 4 cups of flour.

I used a stand mixer so this is preferred however it is still very possible to complete the kneading process by hand.

Once your flour is added, add 1 tablespoon of sugar and knead for 10 minutes or until your dough is a smooth ball! In a separate bowl, spray the inside with either olive oil or wipe it down with butter. This prevents the dough from sticking to the bowl.

Set to the side and allow one hour to rise or until the dough is doubled in size. After one hour complete, punch the dough, allowing all the excess air to be released. Remove from the bowl, knead for an additional 10 minutes, and then separate your dough in two separate batches.

Baking the Loaves

You will be left with two additional loaves of bread; however, you can just create one large loaf, depending on your preference. Once you separate the dough create two, what would look like, loaves of bread. Place in a loaf dish and allow to rise for an additional 30 minutes.

Once the 30 minutes is up, proceed to brush the top of the loaves with butter, minced garlic, and Italian seasoning. You can leave each loaf just plain, but you must brush the loaves with butter to create additional flavoring and that beautiful brown color that everyone loves.

Place in the oven, with the temperature set to 400°. Once the temperature is set and the oven has completed its preheat cycle, place to cook for a total of 20 minutes. Take out of the oven and let the loaves of bread cool completely. If you cut the bread too early, it can become very gooey and dense.

The Chicken Bacon Ranch Filling

Once your bread is complete, you can start the chicken bacon ranch part of the sandwich. Use one chicken breast, two strips of bacon, chopped finely, and one 12-ounce packet of the Hidden Valley ranch seasoning. This is going to give your meats the flavoring of ranch.

Cook each meat completely until done. Once they are cooked, you can chop them up and add them to your sandwich bread.

When you complete everything and you complete the liking of your sandwich, add sliced cheese I used sharp cheddar) and toast your sandwich as you would toast a grilled cheese in the skillet.

And that’s it. Now you have a DELICIOUS and yummy FRESH dinner! Enjoy!!!
