A Family Favorite
Pizza night has been a family favorite in our house for years. And people always say to me, but isn’t it so much easier to just order pizza? And yes, it’s easier. But it’s also not going to turn into a core family memory either.
Making the Dough
We make homemade dough for our family pizza night. And while that may sound overwhelming, it’s exactly the opposite. This dough only takes about 10 minutes to put together. And then after kneading, it rises while you gather everything else.
Tonight, we’re having sausage with all of our favorite toppings. I use jarred pizza sauce to save time and make this a little easier. If you love homemade, you can absolutely do that too.

Assembling the Pizzas
To assemble, I always start with the littlest kids first. They love rolling out their own dough, and half the fun for them is getting to be in charge of their own pizza. They add whatever toppings they like, especially the cheese. There’s usually a lot of cheese.
Once they’re done, they go into a 450-degree oven for about 12 minutes, and I finally get a chance to make one for my husband and me to share.
The Best Part
And when you’re feeding a family, I’ll take that as a win.
